I'm sure I've said this before, but I found this book a bit strange.
Even if I took into account that it was like the first ever SW EU book written, it was still weird. :-p

Left wanting more? And it goes horribly against the movie canon. I know that Foster didn't know about Empire at the time but still...

I think its kinda of funny to read..while i was waiting for one of the NJO books to come out i reread splinter of the mind's eye and it had me laughing so hard the guys with the nice white jacket had to be called.
